Mangalore, Dec 21: The sports meet of Karavali Group of Colleges was inaugurated at Mangala Stadium here on Wednesday December 20 morning.

The sports meet was inaugurated by Dr V Ishwaran, regional manager of State Bank of India regional business banking branch.

Speaking on the occasion he said that only IT education will not be sufficient to build strong country.  "Along with that we need to give importance for every aspect of education such as cultural activities, sports, creativity etc. This would allow the holistic growth of the students," he added.

Founder president of Karavali Group of Colleges S Ganesh Rao presided over the inaugural ceremony.  Chief manager of State Bank of India R V Deshpande, director Karavali Collges Venkat Rao, principals Prof Akshay Kumar and Prof Anand were also present on the occasion.

Mithun welcomed the gathering and Shilpa proposed the vote of thanks.  Zaheeda compered the programme.
