Mangalore, Dec 22: A seminar on ‘Vision of Infrastructure for Greater Mangalore’ was held at Roshni Nilaya here on Thursday December 22. The Citizens’ Forum of the city organised the seminar.

Speaking on the occasion, Nima Kudva, department of city and regional planning professor, Cornell University, USA, stressed on the need to have a social vision while planning developments in the city and said that planning should involve the participation of people.

She suggested improving existing transport facilities which cater to a large population rather than bringing new technology like sky bus which will be accessible to only a small section of the people.
