Mangalore, Dec 23:
Sadhana National Cultural Foundation will present the Suvarna Karnataka Sadhana Award on Friday December 29 at 5.30 pm at a programme to be held at Town Hall here.
 
Speaking in a press conference here on Saturday December 23, Foundation president K V Krishnadas said that the awards will be given away to several persons in recognition of their outstanding contribution in various fields.
 
Subbraya Chokkadi (literature), K Bhuvanabhirama Udupa (Journalism), Chidambar Baikampady (Media), Devdas Kapikad (Tulu Theatre), Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai (Social Work, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura (Advertisement), M G Hegde (Education), Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli (Media), Shripathi Bhat (entrepreneurship), Dr Rajendra Prasad (Medicine), Lalitha Jayaram Ira (Sports), Monappa Shetty (Cooperative Banking), Kolladi Balakrishna Rai (Human Rights), J Rajkumar Jagadeesh Shivakumar (Music), Divakar Das K (Make up) will be awarded the Suvarna Karnataka Sadhana Award.
 
On the same occasion, Sadhana Yuva Prashasthi will be awarded to Vivekananda Kamath (Literature) Hamza Malar (Literature), Jyotsna S Kotekar (Bharatanatyam) and Ram Mohan Rai (Social Work).
 
Founder President of Karavali Group of Colleges S Ganesh Rao will be the chief guest at the programme which will be presided over by Kannada Sahitya Parishad former president Harikrishna Punaroor.
 
The awards will be given away by District and Sessions Judge H M Bharatesh.
 
Programme committee president M J Rao, member Prakash Kadri, and secretary Latha Krishnadas were present at the press meet.
