Mangalore, Dec 24:
A breakdown in the computerized ticket booking systems at the railway station here put the ticketing system 'off-track' on Saturday December 23.

Passengers traveling to Kerala and other southern states were the most hard-hit. Since the tickets had to be issued manually by the ticketing staff, it took a mammoth time for the passengers to obtain their tickets. A large number of passengers even missed their trains as they could not get the tickets in time.

The holiday season only added up to the rush and chaos at the station. Passengers had to wait their turn to get tickets in almost un-ending queues.
