Mangalore, Dec 24: Tension prevailed in Maripalla, near Farangipet after a group of miscreants attacked another group on Saturday night.
The episode took place when some youth were engaged in tying banners of the Hindu Samajotsava in Maripalla. According to sources, miscreants who came in a car hurled stones and soda bottles at the group.
The police had to intervene to bring peace between the groups which were involved in the skirmish.
