Two Indians die in Kathmandu


Kathmandu, Jan 19 (IANS): An Indian man, who was about to board a plane to New Delhi, fell unconscious at the airport here and later died in a hospital Monday, while another Indian was found dead in a rented room in the Nepal capital, police said.

Police said 45-year-old Mukhtar Ahmad fell unconscious in the check-in area of the Tribhuvan International Airport. He was about to board an Air India flight.

He was rushed to the Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The cause of his death was being investigated, police said.

Another Indian, 40-year-old Ramprit Patel from Motihari in Bihar, was Monday found dead in his rented room in Balkhau area of Kathmandu. Police said the case was under investigation.
