Mangalore, Dec 26: Corporation Bank chairman and managing director B Sambamurthy congratulated the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) on winning the prestigious Indira Gandhi Rajabhasha Shield.
He was speaking at the 41st half-yearly meeting of Mangalore TOLIC held here recently. Sambamurthy is also the TOLIC chairman.
This was the third time in a row that Mangalore TOLIC had won this award. The award was instituted by the ministry of home affairs department of official languages, government of India.
Among those present at the meeting were Corporation Bank chief manager and TOLIC member secretary Dr J P Nautiyal who read the half-yearly report, MRPL deputy general manager P A Jose and manager (official languages) Suresh Kumar.
