Bantwal, Dec 28: A body of a student was found in a lake at Mudnooru Kukkarabettu here and it is suspected that it might be a case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified to be Shyam Kiran (20), son of Shankar Bhat a resident of Kukkarabettu. Shankar Bhat works as a manager for Syndicate Bank at Madanthyar.

Shyam Kiran who was missing since Tuesday December 26, was found dead in a lake nearby his house. It is reported that Shyam was depressed for quite some time and this might have made him take the extreme step.

A case has been registered at the Vittal police station.
