Mangalore, Dec 30: The employee office of Achal Industries, the first ever cashew factory to be awarded the ISO 22000:2005 certification was inaugurated on Friday December 29 at 12 pm here.
Canara Bank circle office deputy general manager T D Pai inaugurated the office. The inaugural ceremony was followed by an employee programme.
There was an award function on ISO 22000 followed by handing over of pass books of Canara Bank to employees of Achal Industries.
On the occasion, SDM Law College principal Dr K Devaraj released ‘Hand Book on Good Manufacturing and Good Hygiene Practices.’
T D Pai and Dr K Devaraj spoke on the occasion.
On Sunday December 31, Achal Industries will celebrate its silver jubilee at the factory premises in Baikampady here. Prasar Bharati chairman M V Kamath will be the guest of honour and will speak on ‘Contribution to the Community by Small Industries.’
