Mangalore Dec 31: The Golden Jubilee celebration of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) will be inaugurated on Saturday January 6 at 5 pm at MIT.
MAHE pro-chancellor Dr H S Ballal speaking in a press conference in MIT said that the golden jubilee celebration will go on throughout the year 2007 with several programmes chalked out for the year.
Prof R C Sobti will be the chief guest of the programme, MEMG CEO Dr Ranjan Pai will release the bulletin of the golden jubilee celebration MAHE pro-chancellor Dr H S Ballal will preside over the function.
On Sunday, the Alumini Association of MAHE will also celebrate its silver jubilee. This celebration will be held in the newly built auditorium in the MIT premises. Mangalore ONGC vice-president Konduri Lakshminarayan will be the chief guest in the programme.
