Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), Jan 25 (IANS): Max Gradel scored a second-half equaliser for Cote d'Ivoire, helping the Cup favourites rally to draw 1-1 with Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
Bakary Sako had given Mali the surprise lead in the seventh minute with Cote d'Ivoire trailing until the 86th minute when substitute Gradel rescued the team Saturday night, reports Xinhua.
A few hours later, Cameroon were held to the same score by Guinea in Group D, meaning four teams in the group have four straight 1-1 draws.
Cote d'Ivoire will face Cameroon Wednesday, as will Mali and Guinea.
