Mangalore, Jan 1: Deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa has promised to discuss the issue of vented dam in the cabinet meeting to be held in Bangalore on Thursday January 4.

He was addressing press persons on Sunday December 31, while on his way to watch ‘Nagamandala’ in Bajal here. He assured that the vented dam would be ready within two years.

The government has taken steps to ban the manufacture and sale of arrack in the state, he said. He termed the money that the government earned through the sale of arrack as ‘evil’ and said that such money will not bring success to any administrative initiative.

He gave other assurances like pure drinking water for all slums in the state within two years and education for all.
