Mangalore, Jan 1: The review of Suvarna Karnataka Darshana, a book published by Vidya Publishing House, was held at Sharada Vidyalaya premises here on Sunday December 31.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA N Yogish Bhat suggested the allotment of 1000 acres of land to multinational companies and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to promote investment in the area.
Speaking on the book, Mangalore University Kannada department head Chinnappa Gowda said that the book provides exhaustive knowledge about the state.
The book was published to mark the Suvarna Karnataka celebrations.
Among those present were Karnataka Bank chairman Ananthakrishna, Corporation Bank executive director K L Gopalkrishna, Century Industries Pvt Ltd managing director P Dayanand Pai, Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president Harikrishna Punaroor, Sharada Vidyalaya president Prof M B Puranik, Vidya Publishing House proprietor Vinod A Rao, editor of the book K Anantharam Rao and Raghunath Shet of S L Shet Jewellers.
