Mangalore, Jan 2: As part of the annual fair of Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple, various cultural programmes will be organized by Mallika Kalavrinda, from January 14 to 24.  This was announced by Mallika Kalavrinda working president Sudhakar Rao Pejawar, at a press meet here on Monday January 1.

Nearly 65 groups consisting 1,500 artistes will part-take in the events. While senior artistes from other districts will put up performances, children will be given more opportunities to display their talents.  

Classical music concerts, magic shows, folk dance, yakshagana, plays in Kannada and Tulu, will be all part of the eleven-day event.

Many artistes will be felicitated for their contributions in respective fields. 

The organization has been organizing such programmes for the past 56 years, he added.
