Puttur, Jan 2: Eight dance bar girls, who were here to take part in an orchestra dance show on the occasion of New Year celebration at Bolwear bypass here, were arrested for objectionable behaviour in public by the Puttur police.

Parveen (25), Vishma (23), Neelu (22), Radhika Shivaji Rao (25), Jamila Farooq Sheikh (35) of Mumbai, Shalu Arif Sheikh (24), Neetu Ramesh Vishwas (25) of Andheri and Khushi (25) of Amritsar are those arrested on charges of creating public nuisance.

ASP Dr Harsha, on getting information of undesirable behaviour, ordered the arrest. Five mobile phones and Rs 5,000 in cash have been seized from those arrested.
