Mangalore, Jan 3: The foundation day celebration of Konkani Bhasha Mandal (KBM) was held at Nalanda High School on Tuesday January 2.
Noted Konkani activist and founder secretary of KBM Dr Austin D’Souza Prabhu, Chicago, unfurled the logo of the Mandal. Dr T M A Pai Foundation, Manipal president K K Pai presided over the programme.
GSB Womens Board president Nirmala Kamath, Konkani Language and Culture Foundation president Basti Vaman Shenoy, All India Konkani Parishad president Paul Moras were the chief guests.
‘Karmadeen’ a Konkani drama directed by Kasargod Chinna was staged on the occasion.
Among those present were Konkani Bhasha Mandal president Fr Eric Crasta, Madhusudan Kushe, Sarojini Kushe, Venkatesh Baliga, P Vitobha Bhandarkar and others.
