Karkala, Jan 29: A person fell down while alighting from a bus at Nitte in the taluk on Tuesday January 27. He was taken to hospital. However, he died of injuries, as treatments given to him failed to save him.
The deceased has been identified as Narayana Moolya (57) from Sanadagudde in Nitte. He had boarded a bus in the town for going to his home. It is said that he fell down as the bus moved ahead all of a sudden before he had securely set his foot on the road while alighting from the bus at Lamina Cross in Nitte.
Moolya fell to the road and suffered serious head injuries. He was admitted into Manipal Hops ital, where he passed away on Wednesday January 28 afternoon.
