Ice cream parlour owner stabbed in Kasargod, injured

Kasargod, Jan 27: Owner of an ice cream parlour was stabbed on Wednesday night by unknown person in Kasargod.

Ramesh Mallya (64) is the person injured. The incident took place at around 7. 30 pm.

The attacker came and used threw chilly powder towards Mallya when he was sitting at the cash counter of his shop. Then the attacker stabbed him and fled from the scene.

Mallya was first admitted to a hospital in Kasargod and then shifted to Mangaluru later for advanced treatment.

Police have registered the case and investigations are on. Police are said to be alert on the issue. No reasons for the attack are known until now.
