Bantwal, Jan 4: A motorcycle, which regularly transported 'Vartabharati' Kannada daily newspaper, was set on fire by miscreants in the early hours of Tuesday.
The owner, Mohammed Ilyas, had a flat tyre around 4 am and had parked his bike bearing no. KA 19 S 8779, at Bastipadpu.
When he returned around 9 am, he could not find the bike, but after spotting the burnt remains he identified his vehicle. The police took it to the police station.
He has reported a loss of Rs 40,000.
