Sullia, Jan 6: A PUC student was killed after being knocked down by a mobike at Balila near here on Friday January 5 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Nitish (15), son of Krishnappa Gowda and Parameshwari Gowda.  He was studying in first year PU at Bellare Government College near here.

On Monday evening he was on his way to a nearby shop from his home on his bicycle when a recklessly driven mobike coming from opposite side knocked him down at Balila.  Nitish fell down on the road and sustained serious injuries in his head.  Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.

The Sullia police have registered a complaint against the bike rider Nidarshan in this regard.
