Honda Motorcycle logs 14 percent volume growth


Chennai, Feb 2 (IANS): Japanese two wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Monday said it sales grew almost five times that of the Indian two wheeler industry last month, at 14 percent over the sector's three percent.

In a statement issued here, the company said it clocked sales of 393,787 units last month up from 344,750 units sold during January 2014.

The domestic sales contributed 344,678 units to the overall sales, which grew at 14 percent at the end of last month while the industry averaged a three percent growth rate, it said.
