Mangalore, Jan 8: Gowda Saraswath Brahman (GSB) Mahila Vranda celebrated its silver jubilee at T V Raman Pai convention hall here on Sunday January 7.
Former minister R V Deshpande while speaking on the occasion lauded the efforts of GSB organisation for working for the cause of women. He called upon women to become financially independent by getting educated and taking up job-oriented courses.
A souvenir marking the silver jubilee celebrations was released by Deshpande on the occasion
The programme was presided over by GSB Mahila Vranda Bangalore former president Mohini D Pai.
Among those present were Mahila Vranda president Nirmala Kamath, TMA Pai Foundation president K K Pai, GSB honorary president Malati U Kamath and Canara Bank deputy general manager K L Gopalkrishna.
