Mumbai, Feb 4: Abhishek H Devadiga hailing from Derebail Konchady,Mangaluru and at present a third year B Com student of the R A Podar
College of Commerce and Economics is presented 'best student of the year' award for the academic year 2014-2015 by the college.

Abhishek is the General Secretary and the Cultural Secretary in the college. Besides 'Student of the year award for best outstanding
student 2014-2015', he has also been presented 'Principal Special award' for the year 2014-2015.

The awards were presented to him by Praveen Kadle, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Capital Limited in the annual University Day celebrations held last week.

He is the son of Derebail Konchady resident couple of Mangaluru,Hemanatha Devadiga and Surekha Devadiga.

Surekha Devadiga is an old student of Karnataka Women's Polytechnic of Bondel, Mangaluru and Besant Women's College in Mangaluru. She is holding a diploma and B Com degree. She is an outstanding sports person having participated in several sports events in Karnataka, Maharastra and Kerala and won several gold and silver medals. Surekha Devadiga is also an active member of Devadiga Sangha Mumbai and Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai.
