Mysore, Jan 8: An inter-religious meet was organized after the festive mass of Infant Jesus at the premises of Pushpashrama here on Sunday January 7 evening. All major religious leaders were brought under the same banner of peace and harmony and they prayed for unity and integrity of the society.
Swami Narayana Guru of Bogadi Math spoke on the basic nature of man for harmony and emphasized the need cultivating the same in the modern society. Mulla Mohammad Kutti spoke about the need of peace and harmony and quoted Holy Quran for it.
Rev John Johnson Paul represented the Church India and emphasized the need for loving each other. The greatest event of the day was the candle light procession. People of all religions, cast and faiths with lighted candles in hand sang hymns and songs as they marched the whole township of Naidunagar demonstrating the unity of the place which they maintain till today, thanks to the leadership of Carmelite fathers.
