'Bunta Siri' kala vaibhava 2015 to be held on Feb 7

Mangaluru, Feb 5: A Sadananda Shetty, Chairman International Bunts welfare trust, inaugurated the invitation of "Bunta Siri" kala vaibhava 2015 cultural programme here at a press meet held at Mangaluru on February 4.

According to the press note "The international bunts welfare trust (R) which has been formed with several major objectives including overall development of not only the bunt community but people of all communities, will be inaugurating at the TMA pai international convention centre, Mahatma Gandhi road in Mangaluru on 7 February 2015, Saturday at 10.55 am by Dr N Vinay Hegde, chancellor of Nitte University. The web portal of the trust will be launched by veteran writer Erya Lakshminarayana Alva. Among other objectives of the trust are to ensure food, clothing, shelter and education to all, to help in the empowerment of bunt women, encourage bunt youth to come forward in social, religious, cultural and political fields, to promote bunt culture and tradition and also patronise agriculture. The trust also intends to hold several programme for the welfare of the differently abled and senior citizens.

Veteran writer and kannada activist Nadoja Kayyara Kinhanna Rai who has completed hundred fruitful years will be offered 'Nudinamana' on the occasion. As part of the inaugural variety cultural event named "Banta siri' kala vaibhava 2015 will be held from 9 am to 9.30 pm. The programme will showcase the bunt way of life, bunt style of dressing and will feature Miss bunt, Mr bunt contests, Bhale jodi, Namma yajamanru programme, Yakshagana bayalata and a musical event by Gurukiran and group. Several film stars are expected to grace the event.

As a part of the inaugural, guests and participants will be served Bunt traditional food right from breakfast to dinner".
