Karkala, Feb 5: Professor Narasimha Bailakeri, serving in the Mechanical Engineering department of Nitte NMAM Institute of Technology was awarded doctorate by Vishveswaraya Technological University for his thesis titled 'Experimental Investigation and Artificial Neural Modeling of Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Dual Spark Plug SI engine Ethanol Gasoline blends'.

The thesis was written by him under the guidance of Dr Srinivasa Rao, B R, Vice Principal and Examinations Controller, NMAMIT, Nitte.

Professor Bailakeri is the son of Dr K N Bailakeri, retired Principal of Kumta's Kamala Baliga Educational Institute and Seetha Bailakeri, retired headmistress of Kumta's Nellikeri Government Model Higher primary school.
