Udupi, Jan 10: The 49th annual convention of National Association of Students Architecture (NASA) ‘Synergy’ was inaugurated at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal here on Tuesday January 9.
The inauguration was done by Army headquarters engineer-in-chief Lt Gen B S Dhaliwal. Speaking on the occasion, he advised the students to join Military Engineers Service (MES) which is the largest construction company in Asia and has the tough but adventurous job of working for the Army, Navy and Air Force under demanding conditions.
MAHE pro chancellor H S Ballal presided over the programme. A memento was presented to Lt Gen Dhaliwal on the occasion by MAHE chancellor Dr Ramdas Pai.
Architects and students of architecture from all over India are participating in the four-day event.
Among those present were MIT dean of architecture Ravindra Deshmukh, NASA president Maniarasa, secretary Shanranay and Vasanthi R Pai, wife of Dr Ramdas Pai.
