Udupi, Feb 7: On Thursday February 5, some people posed life threats to a journalist at Saligrama in the taluk.

Reportedly, several youths threatened Yadabettu Ashwath Acharya, secretary of Brahavar zone working journalists union, relating to his report on a murder which occurred at Karkada near Saligrama recently.

It is said that he was stopped near Hadimane Hotel in Saligrama by Manebettu Bhaskara, Raghavendra Acharya, Ramesh Mendon, and others from Karkada, who hurled filthy abuses at him and threatened to kill him, Acharya said in a complaint made to Kota police station.
