Mangaluru: Bus hits motor bike - pillion rider killed

Mangaluru, Feb 7: After a private express bus hit a motor bike at Vikas Nagar in Gurpur Kaikamba on Friday February 6, the pillion rider suffered grave injuries and succumbed on the spot. The accident occurred at around 9 pm.

The deceased has been identified as Uday Shetty (37 ) from Shivapura, Hebri. Reportedly, Uday works as a salesman for a popular brand of mixer grinders, and was moving towards Moodbidri at the time of the accidaent.

Bike rider, Nithish, also was injured in the accident. He stands admitted into a hospital.

The bus in question was bound for Moodbidri from the city. A case relating to the accident was registered in Bajpe police station.

    When will these bus drivers behave like humans? For them killing another person on the roads comes so easily. Whenever an already ill patient dies in a hospital, the people manhandle the doctors and ransack the hospitals. In these cases why cant the authorities take strict action against the errant drivers?
