Udupi, Jan 10: Pitti Nagesh, the prime accused in the sensational murder case of Hitendra Prasad has been granted by High Court recently.
As reported earlier Pitti Nagesh along with his accomplices had hacked 'Hai Maruta' editor Hitendra Prasad in front of Thallur's Bar at Manipal near here sometime ago. The murder was result of personal rivalry since Hitendra was obstructing in some of Pitti's business activities. Despite repeated warning by the latter, Hitendra had not stopped his activities. Enraged by this, Pitti, along with 4 of his accomplices had murdered Hitendra while the latter was protesting against the live ban in Thallur's bar.
Based on the information the police had arrested Pitti's accomplices Manikantha, Salim and two others within two days of the murder while Pitti was arrested after a couple of days. The police had filed a case against him and had also filed in chargesheet in the later days.
Now the state High Court has granted him bail in the same case.
