Mumbai, Jan 10: The Bhandary Samajotsava was organized on a grand scale by Akhila Bharata Bhandary Samaja in association with several state units of the organization at Shivaji Park here on Saturday January 6.
Well-known Bollywood actor Nana Patekar presided over the programme while former cricketer Praveen Amre was the chief guest.
Akhila Bharata Bhandary Samaja president Naveenchandra Bandhodekar welcomed the gathering. Several members of the Billawa community from Karnataka participated led by Billawa Association president Jaya C Suvarna.
People from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Gujarat and other parts of the country participated in the event.
A dance programme was presented by Pooja Srinivas Parve on the occasion.
