Mangaluru, Feb 8: 'Peter's cote', a luxury apartments complex built by Rohan Corporation was inaugurated here in Kankanady, Mangaluru on February 7.

Fr Santhosh blessed the occasion, while MLC, Ivan D'Souza, Asha D'silva and land owner, Ruffie Peters inaugurated the apartment by cutting the ribbon.

Addressing the gathering, Ivan D'souza said, "Rohan corporation has made significant contribution to the development of the city. Mangaluru is growing and government has takenupnecessary all the development initiatives towards the development like concreting of roads, building of new and spacious bus stand, railway station etc. It has also recommended for including the city under smart city project too. Mangaluru has better garbage disposal system than that of Bengaluru. Previously people did not wish to live in flats but now people prefer flats because there are better security and amenities. Number of people in the city is increasing, and hence, it needs more infrastructure and housing and that need is being met. I wish all the best to Rohan Moteiro in all his future projects.

J R Lobo, speaking on the occasion, said, "I congratulate all the people who have contributed towards the construction of this apartments complex because it is a team effort. Sustainability is very important. Builders just cant build one building and stop there. If sustainibility has to come then industries have to flourish. Only then there will be customers. If there is no peace and harmony in the society, industries and investors would not like to invest in this region. In that direction, we have to promote peace and harmony in the city. If one industry emerges then we have to support another to come up. Change should not be resisted. We have to build and save our city."

Architect of the project, Suresh Kumar of SK Associates, structural engineer, Anil Hegde of Anil Vimal Associates, Maxim D'souza of Maxim construction and others were felicitated on the occasion.
