Mangalore, Jan 11: The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Mangalore University and St Agnes College here will jointly organise a workshop on ‘Watershed Management’ on Sunday January 14 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Conference Hall, Sophia Block, St Agnes College.

According to a press release, the workshop will be conducted as part of ‘Yuva Saptaha’ celebrations. The chief guest for the programme will be renowned watershed management activist Shree Padre, who will also be the resource person for the workshop.

Mayor Vijaya Arun will inaugurate the workshop while St Agnes College principal Sr M Carmel Rita will preside.

The will be an interactive session with the local people who have successfully implemented watershed management projects.

Though the workshop will be for NSS volunteers, members of the public are also invited to attend, the release stated.
