Kuwait, Jan 12:
Indian Muslim Association (IMA) conducted a spectacular Eid get-together in coordination with Islam Presentation Committee (IPC) recently at Indian Community School Auditorium Khaitan. 

Khalid Al Saba, manager of Dawa Affairs of IPC participated in the gathering as chief guest and said that strong will prophet Abraham to sacrifice everything for the sake of   great cause is an example to emulate for all human beings.

Dr Vivek Wani, president of Kannada Koota, Satishchandra Shetty, president of Tulu Koota, Ramesh Panditha President of Indian Doctors Forum, Sam Pynammodu, president of Kuwait Art Lovers Association, Vishveshwar Rao, general secretary of Telugu Kala Samiti and Sedu Yousef, joint secretary of Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum participated in the function. Apart from conveying Eid greetings on behalf of their respective organizations they spoke aptly to the occasion emphasizing the need of mutual understanding and compassion.




Guest speaker of the day Sharafudin B S, a journalist, while speaking on the message of Eid Al Adha said that 'Thinking win-win and peaceful coexistence is a key to happiness.'

Sharafuddin elucidated that 'Abrahamic traditions are remembered during the festival mainly to emphasize brotherhood, as prophet Abraham is considered as a forefather by the followers of Semitic and non Semitic religions around the globe. Also, Prophet Abraham propagated a message of 'oneness of God and oneness of man', which is the core message of all major religion and Islam enunciates the same message of universality of God and universality of human race."
 
Ahmad Azim Khan of IMA presented gifts to the guests of honor as a token of appreciation for their support in arranging an inter-community get-together to mark the festive occasion of Eid Al Adha.


Program started with the recitation of Quran by Mujahid Umri and English translation rendered by Minhajuddin. Musthaq Ahmad convened the program.   Hassan Yousef, chief coordinator of the function proposed the vote of thanks.  Vegetarian dinner was served at the end of the function which provided opportunity for further interaction and to beat the chill of the winter through warm relationship.
