Mangalore, Jan 13: Michael Alvares, a professional kite flyer and teacher from Australia made Friday January 12 a memorable day for the students of St Agnes Special School.

Team Mangalore, the popular kite flyers’ organisation in association with Institute of Chartered Accountants and Alvares flew an array of colourful kites along with the kids and also taught them the art of making kites.

Speaking on the occasion, Alvares said that kite-flying had become a medium of education in the last few years.

Prior to this, Team Mangalore had a similar programme at Bantwal. The Team will also perform at Karavali Utsav on Saturday January 20 and Sunday January 21. Kite flyers from Holland, Denmark and England are expected to participate in the event.
