DUBAI — Jan. 14:Marimuthu Palaniyandi, an Indian national construction worker, has won Dh200,000 in the inaugural edition of the quarterly draw introduced by Post Card Millionaire campaign.
Vasanthi Pai, a senior official at the UAE Exchange, drew Marimuthu’s winning number 5689178493. The second quarterly draw will be held on April 4.
“I am still in a state of shock”, said an elated Marimuthu. “I just cannot decide what to do with the money as the news was so sudden and so unexpected. I am in no hurry to spend the money,” said Marimuthu.
The 29-year-old resident from Lembalakudi, a small village in Tamil Nadu, came to Dubai four months back to work as a mason at a construction site in Satwa.
