Karkala, Jan 15: Shooting for 'Guddada Mane' tele-film directed by UNICEF Prasar Bharati award winner Katpadi Prakash Suvarna started on Sunday January 14. The muhurtam of the film was held at Mahaganapathi Temple at Nadpalu near here.
ZP former vice-president, transport owner H Prasanna Ballal carried out muhurtam. Managing trustee of the temple Palli Srinivas Hegde, State Milk Federation director Kaup Diwakar Shetty, Hebri GP president Neere Krishna Shetty, PLD Bank president S Narashimha Nayak, Nadpalu GP former president G Bhaskar Shetty, Surya of "Kadala Mage" Tulu film fame who is playing lead role in Guddada Mane, producer Francis D'Sa of Udupi Channel, directed Prakash Suvarna and others were present at the muhurtam.
A short felicitation ceremony was later held in the Sri Ganesh Hotel at Nadpalu wherein guests wished all the best to the tele-film. The tele-film is based on the rural set up picturing a fight against injustice and the system which favours it.
Film actor Uday Kumar welcomed the gathering while Lions district president K G Acharya compered the programme. Journalist Kabbinale Balachandra Hebbar proposed the vote of thanks.
