Mangalore, Jan 16: The fourth anniversary of Family Doctors Association (FDA) was observed at Ganjimath here recently.
Speaking on the occasion, FDA founder president Dr K Mohandas Bhandary condemned the pre-budget proposal to impose service tax on doctors and said that the move will adversely affect the financially backward sections of the society.
The programme was inaugurated by Dix Group of Companies managing director Devanand Shetty.
Among those present were Canara College Economics lecturer Ramesh Kedilaya, FDA president Dr M A R Kudva, FDA secretary Dr Annayya Kulal, All India Radio Mangalore director C P Rajashekaran, entrepreneur Rajesh Naik U, Dr Mohanchandra Suvarna, Dr G K Hebbar, Dr Sudhir Hegde and Dr Krishnaraj Upadhyaya.
