Operation Milap reunites three children with families

New Delhi, Feb 14 (IANS): The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Delhi Police Crime Branch has succeeded in reuniting three more children with their families, totalling 50 children so far within two months as part of its Operation Milap.

"Three children aged between seven and 15 years were united recently with their families," Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav said Saturday.

Counting the three children, Operation Milap -- a special drive launched by the Delhi Police Dec 18, 2014 -- has till date reunited 50 children and their families.

The children, aged between seven and 17, belonged to states like Manipur, Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi itself, Yadav said.

"Our officers would check each and every child in the children's shelter homes, railway stations and other places, and make all efforts to get clues about their parents so that they could be reunited," said Yadav.
