Aizawl, Feb 15: With gratitude to God, the Karnataka Capuchins celebrated the priestly ordination of two new Capuchin Mizo deacons.
The Christ the King Delegation which belongs to the Holy Trinity Province of Karnataka comprises of Mizoram, Tripura and Silchar Regions.
























































The Karnataka Capuchins have been working since eighteen years and have really marked their Franciscan Capuchin presence through their life witness and their commitment to Evangelisation.
Simplicity and poverty of the Capuchin friars attracted young candidates to priesthood and today two of the Capuchin Mizo Deacons Br John Zoduhsanga and Br Peter Lalrammuana were ordained by his grace Dr Stephen Rotluanga CSC, Bishop of Aizawl.
It was wonderful to see the enthusiastic parishioners of Capuchin Mission Parish St. Francis of Assisi Church, Durtlang, Mizoram, along with their Parish Priest Fr Santhosh Lobo ofm Cap, and Fr Arun Fernandes, organising such a beautiful ordination ceremony and felicitation program.
The Bishop of Aizawl appreciated the Capuchins for their missionary service and thanked all the Capuchin Friars of Karnataka for their relentless service in the missions. As a token of gratitude he felicitated the new priests as well as the Capuchin Provincial Minister Fr Joseph DolphyPais, Vicar Provincial Fr Alwyn Dias, Provincial Administror Fr Robin Victor D’souza and the Provincial Secretary Fr Deepak Fernandes. The Capuchin Friars who work in the missions of Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Assam and Manipur were present and were felicitated by the Provincial Minister, specially the Provincial Delegated Fr Vincent Monis and Fr Mathais Dias. Large number of Priests and Religious Sisters and the faithful participated in the Ordination Ceremony and prayed for the newly ordained Priest.
