Islamabad, Feb 16 (IANS): Pakistani security agencies Monday defused a bomb near a graveyard in Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, ahead of a burial in which thousands of people were expected to attend, media reported.
Security forces received information of a bomb planted along the route to Rehman Baba Graveyard in Peshawar, ARY News reported.
A bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene and defused the 1.5 kg explosive.
Last Friday, over 20 people were killed when Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants attacked a Shia mosque in Peshawar.
