Margao, Jan 18: Over the last two days, the  third-year students of various colleges of Salcete are trying to gherao state's education minister Luizinho Faleiro for not giving them computers through Cyber Age scheme. But they could not, as personal assistant of the minister said that he (Minister) was out of the state,  while, in fact, he was very much present in the state.

The government had promised to give computers to all these students, but till date they were not installed at their places.

A crowd of around 250  students gathered on Wednesday at Faleiro's Navelim office, but he failed to turn up at his office, which made the students to go back disappointed. But the peeved students did not lose hope and again on Thursday morning they marched towards the minister's house at Borda.

Tight police security was deployed at the place. Students approached the PA of minister, and his pretext of minister is out of station made them angry and they dhouted slogans.

Enthusiastic students have not still lost hopes and the have decided to meet him on Saturday.
