Delhi may have short spell of rain Tuesday


New Delhi, Feb 16 (IANS): The national capital is likely to witness rainfall and thunder showers Tuesday after the city experienced a pleasant Monday, the weather office said.

The met office forecast one or two spells of rainfall and thunder showers could occur in some parts of Delhi Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, it was a pleasant Monday in the national capital with maximum temperature settling down two notches above season's average at 26.4 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature settled at 11.2 degrees Celsius, average for the season.

"There will be shallow fog on Tuesday morning. The sky will be partly cloudy," an India Meteorological Department official said. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 27 and 15 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Sunday's minimum temperature settled at 11.2 degrees Celsius, average for the season, and the maximum temperature was recorded three notches above the season's average at 27.1 degrees Celsius.
