Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (SS)

Mumbai, Jan 19:  The Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) recently held its 27th annual general meeting at Kurla (E) here. AHAAR president Chandrahas K Shetty presided over the meeting. 


AHAR founder president Dattakadam , Dr P V Shetty, Yermal Harish Shetty, Chandrahas K Shetty and former president Santhosh Shetty lit the lamp and inaugurated the meet. Chandrahas Shetty welcomed the gathering.


Secretary Jagadish V Shetty read the annual report.  Treasurer Santosh Shetty detailed on the financial report. Election officer D K Shetty announced the names of the members of executive committee for 2006 - 07.


Chandrahas K Shetty was re-elected as president, Santosh Shetty as honorary chief secretary, Girish Salian as honorary chief treasurer, and Vishwapal Shetty (Zone 4), Pradeep Shetty (Zone 8), Mohandas Shetty as joint treasurers.

Chandrahas Shetty released AHAR’s monthly magazine ‘Restaurant Business’.

Cine star Harish Vasu Shetty and Neha Shetty compered the programme. Honorary chief secretary Jagadish V Shetty gave the vote of thanks. ‘Aharotsava’ was organized on the occasion. For the first time, an informatory session was conducted for the hoteliers.
