New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS): A 25-year-old man and his wife were found dead in mysterious circumstances here Wednesday, police said.
The couple was found dead inside their rented accommodation in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar.
Sanjay, a tailor, was found hanging while his wife, Sugandhee, 22, was lying dead on the floor.
Police said they were yet to ascertain the reason of Sugandhee's death as no external injury marks were found on her body.
"We could not find any clue if she had consumed poison. The postmortem report can confirm the cause of her death," a police official said.
"Prime facie, it seemed a case of suicide. As we could not recover any suicide note from the victims' possession, it will be too early to say if it is a case of murder or suicide," the official said.
Initial information revealed that the couple belonged to Bihar and they were residing in Gandhi Nagar for several years, he said.
