India Post rolls out World Cup souvenir sheets

Kolkata, Feb 20 (IANS): In order to celebrate the ongoing cricket World Cup where India is the defending champion, India Post has come up with something cricket enthusiasts can treasure for life - souvenir sheets on the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Unveiled here Friday at the Calcutta Sports Journalist Club (CSJC), the souvenir sheets - sheets of stamps - are available offline through the Kolkata GPO and other post offices and online through e-post office and snapdeal.com.

Priced at Rs.400 per sheet, the stamps come with a discount of 20 percent to anyone buying five sheets.

Present at the event were Bengal captain Laxmi Ratan Shukla and former Indian selector Sambaran Banerjee.

Similar souvenir sheets have been brought out by New Zealand Post who have depicted the logo of the quadrennial event and colours of 14 nations in the form of ball shaped stamps.
