Margao, Jan 23: With a view to giving a boost to the writing talents of youths, Konkani Bhasha Mandal  in association with Goa Konkani Academy have organized the VIII Yuwa Sahitya Sammelan on February 10 and 11 at Yuvangan of Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir - Ponda.

In this Sammelan, youths will be provided with a plank for their talent. Youths will be guided by prominent writers in this sammelan. Programmes will be held in the sammelan with stalwarts of Konkani field to discus poems, short stories and literature.


Hanumant Chopdekar, Purnanand Chari, Surel Tilve and and Vishal Kandeparkar

Purnanand Chari, president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal will hold the post of convener, Hanumant Chopdekar of president, Vishal Khandeparkar as general secretary and Anwesha Singhball as joint secretary of the sammelan. Also advocate Surel Tillve will be the chief coordinator of the sammelan.

Recently the meeting of all the youths and member of the sammelan held in the KBM, in which they resolved to make this sammelan a grand success.

To guide the youth in the literary field, camps will be held in the sammelan along with stalwart of Konkani field, who will then guide them to take the palanquin of Konkani to greater heights.
