New Delhi, Feb 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to LK Advani and his wife on completion of 50 years of their married life. Mr. Advani donned the garb of a bridegroom once more as he exchanged 'varmala' and renewed his vows with his wife Kamla Advani.

The Padma Vibhushan recipient, was extended best wishes by several of his BJP colleagues, Governors and also Vice President Hamid Ansari. The function was attended by celebrities, top placed officials, such as the Governors of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Nagaland, Chief Ministers and former Union Ministers as well.

The 87 year old veteran politician spoke eloquently on his many years as family man. His daughter Pratibha Advani presented a well put together montage of the many memories of the years gone by. Held at his residence, the program started with a bhajan by Chitra Roy who is a student of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and in the presence of religious leaders like Swami Anadeshwar and Swami Chidananda.
