Pleasant Monday in Delhi, rain likely Tuesday


New Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS): It was pleasant Monday in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling at 28.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above season's average. The met department has forecast a light rainfall or thunder showers in some parts of the city Tuesday.

"The sky will be partly cloudy. Thundershowers or light rain could occur in some parts of the city. There will also be shallow fog in some areas from night onwards," said said an official of India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperature will hover around 28 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.

The minimum temperature Monday settled at 16.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average.

Sunday's maximum temperature settled four notches above the season's average at 28.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature settled at 16 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average.
