Islamic state militants kidnap 56 Christians in Syria

Damascus, Feb 24 (IANS): The Islamic State (IS) militants Monday kidnapped 56 Syrian Christians of Assyrian minority in Al-Hasakah province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The Assyrians were abducted from the town of Tal Shamiram in the countryside of the predominantly-Kurdish city of Hasaka, Xinhua reported.

Tens of other Assyrians were also taken into captivity by the IS in the town of Tal Hurmos, adjacent to Tal Shamiram, according to the London-based watchdog group.

The IS repeatedly attacked minority groups across Syria and most recently in Libya, where the terrorist group abducted and executed over 20 Egyptian Coptic Christians, branding them the "worshipers of the cross."

Why bring religion between conflict? It is matter of misunderstanding between their fellow citizens. Let them find a solution to their problem. Religion has nothing to do with this kind of matters.

    vedaasthuthi,

You are absolutely wrong. Dont say that there are many violent acts committed in the past because of atheism. Usually people kill people because of difference of belief. All atheist dont think alike. You wont be able to form a group of atheist and make them hate some other group. Because we atheist dont have unified belief or dogma.

There is no hardcore atheist. the term hardcore atheist is just stupid. I am atheist and i reject the claim that god exist because there is no credible proof that the god exist. thats it. there is nothing hardcore or softcore about it.

You can have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things, but for a good person to do bad things it takes a religion.

Early this 43 people were burnt in an iron cage. I pray & hope these innocent people dont meet this fate. The problem with this cult is they are spread out amongst civilians, hence cannot be specifically targeted in an aerial bombardment , there mite be heavy civilian casualties. BTW Were are Mahdi Biswas sympathizers? Are they equating this to some Shiv Sena ,RSS, etc? I hope this opens their eyes & know were blood flows.

To say that Islamic state has nothing to do with religion is like saying Vishwa Hindu Parishad has nothing to do with Hinduism. It's very name is the Islamic state and it wants to establish an caliphate and take the world back to 7th century AD.

by now it is evident that ISIS is a cult organisation which only believes in killing not only christians but also muslims, high time even muslims support in eliminating them becos ISIS is an incarnation of satan's group and not God fearing muslim should support them.

Yes, I agree with you Judith they are satan believers but some one said that as God treats good people in a nice way up in heaven, so will satan take care of his followers too, why would he hurt his own people.
